After-school care

If parents are still at work in the afternoon, the blauwe dieren day care centres take care of the children after school.

Care after school and during holidays

After-school care is always directly after the school hours of the children. While school is in session, parents can choose from a short afternoon (starting at 2.30 p.m.) and/or a long afternoon (starting at 11.30 a.m.). During school holidays, children can simply come on the same days they come while school is in session, but for a full day. We provide a real holiday for the children. Together, the activities are devised in a holiday atmosphere. That provides everyone with what they need. An annual theme is the guiding principle for the programme components, from making music to excursions to the theatre, zoo or children's farm.

Extra day care needed?

In consultation with the manager of the day care centre, extra incidental day care is possible, both after school hours and during holidays, in addition to the regular days. If day care is only needed during school holidays, or if you would like to have after-school care without holiday day care, inquire at the blauwe dieren day care centre about the options and the costs. A limited number of these day care places are available.

You can make incidental use of our day care centres even if you are not a regular skon customer. You pay with a ticket strip. The manager of the blauwe dieren day care centre in your area would be happy to tell you more about this system, the costs and the options.
